Matt Montana is a Managing Director and Partner of The Andriole Group. With over 20 years of experience in wealth analysis and investment management, Matt specializes in the development of personalized, goals-based wealth management strategies for individuals and families. His detailed approach to planning provides clients with highly-personalized guidance on retirement, investments and other important financial decisions.
Matt earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2004. As an adjunct professor at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut, he teaches Financial Planning and Insurance to both undergraduate students and CFP® candidates. Matt holds various security licenses and a life/health insurance license. Matt earned his Bachelor of the Arts degree in History from Miami University of Ohio.
A retired Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Matt has served in numerous leadership positions throughout his 20-year Navy career. As a Surface Warfare Officer, he served on active duty aboard the destroyer, USS Callaghan homeported in San Diego and the cruiser, USS Mobile Bay forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan. Matt has completed courses in professional military education at the Naval War College in Newport, RI and been recognized with numerous awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal for his service with U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in the Arabian Gulf.
Matt is active in the community and volunteers as board member for the Pettipaug Yacht and Sailing Academy in Essex, Connecticut. Pettipaug Sailing Academy is dedicated to helping kids learn to sail and to develop a love of boating and having fun on the water.
Matt lives in Madison, Connecticut with his wife, Michele, and their two sons. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, sailing on the Long Island Sound and skiing at Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire.
