Matt Montana serves as a Managing Director, Partner, and Chief Operating Officer of The Andriole Group. With over 20 years of experience in wealth analysis and investment management, Matt specializes in the development of customized, goals-based financial plans and investment strategies for individuals and families. Matt is passionate about working with clients who are engaged and excited to take an active role in helping to achieve their long-term financial goals – whether it be building a secure financial footing, saving for retirement, or managing wealth to leave a legacy.
Matt earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2004. He has taught Financial Planning and Insurance to both undergraduate students and CFP® candidates as an adjunct professor at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. Matt holds his Series 7, Series 66, his Series 24 licenses as well as his life and health insurance license. Matt is a graduate Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
A retired U.S. Navy Reserve Commander, Matt served in numerous leadership positions throughout his 20-year Navy career – a skill set Matt has directly translated into his role of Chief Operating Officer of The Andriole Group. As a Surface Warfare Officer, he served on active duty aboard the destroyer, USS Callaghan homeported in San Diego and the cruiser, USS Mobile Bay forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan. Matt has completed courses in professional military education at the Naval War College in Newport, RI and been recognized with numerous awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal for his service with U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in the Arabian Gulf.
Matt is active in the community and volunteers as board member for the Pettipaug Yacht and Sailing Academy in Essex, Connecticut. Pettipaug Sailing Academy is dedicated to helping kids learn to sail and to develop a love of boating and having fun on the water.
Matt lives in Madison, Connecticut with his wife, Michele, and their two sons. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, boating on the Long Island Sound and skiing at Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire.
